State Criminal Law

We provide advice and representation to accused persons in criminal proceedings in Western Australia, including summary proceedings run by the WA Police Force (WAPOL) and proceedings for indictable offences run by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in the District and Supreme Courts. 

 

We provide advice and representation for the entire lifecycle of the investigation and prosecution, including pre-interview advice, on applying and varying bail, and representation at sentencing, or if necessary, at trial, depending on the client's instructions.

  • Dishonesty and Fraud Offences (e.g., Stealing, Gains Benefit by Fraud, Burglary, Robbery etc.)

Misuse of Drugs Act 1981

 

  • Possess/Sell/Supply Prohibited Drug (e.g., Methamphetamine, MDMA, Heroin, Fentanyl);

  • Possess/Sell/Supply Prohibited Plant (e.g., Cannabis);

  • Possess/Sell/Supply Category 1 or Category 2 Item; and 

  • Possess Drug Paraphernalia etc.

Restraining Orders Act 1997

  • Breach of VRO, FVRO, MRO or Police Order;

  • Contravene Behavioural Change Order; and

  • Contravene Eligibility Assessment Order etc.

  • Possess or Carry a Prohibited Weapon;

  • Possess or Carry a Controlled Weapon;

  • Sell Controlled Weapons to Children; and

  • Carry Articles etc. 

  • Unauthorised Manufacture or Dealing or Repair in Firearms; and

  • Firearm Prohibition Orders Offences etc. 

Graffiti Vandalism Act 2016

 

  • Damaging Property;

  • Possess Things with Intent to Apply Graffiti; and

  • Selling Graffiti Implements etc.
