Traffic Law

We provide advice and representation to accused persons charged with criminal offences under road traffic legislation, which includes the:

 

  • Road Traffic Act 1974;

  • Road Traffic (Administration) Act 2008;

  • Road Traffic (Authorisation to Drive) Act 2008; and

  • Road Traffic (Vehicles) Act 2012. 

We also provide advice and representation for making applications for an extraordinary driver's licences or a removal of a life disqualification order or a disqualification order in excess of 3 years. 

Traffic Offences

 

  • Dangerous Driving Causing Death or GBH; 

  • Reckless. Dangerous or Careless Driving; 

  • Driving Under The Influence of Drugs or Alcohol (e.g., Excess 0.08, DUI etc.); 

  • Refusal to Provide Breath Sample or Oral Fluid Sample etc.; and 

  • Driving whilst Disqualified or with No Authorisation. 

Civil Applications

  • Extraordinary Drivers Licence Application; and 

  • Removal of Lifetime Disqualification Period or a Disqualification Period in Excess of 3 Years.
